An experienced and qualified yoga and meditation teacher
Hi, I’m Catherine Sherlock. I am a level 2 Yoga Australia registered yoga teacher, a certified iRest® meditation teacher, and a member of Meditation Australia. I have been teaching yoga in the Hawkesbury since 2012. I specialise in yoga and meditation for mental health and well-being. The yoga I teach aims to tone your nervous system and restore you to well-being. My beautiful boutique studio is in the Toxana building in Richmond. I also love to take these teachings out into the surrounding community into community service settings and schools.
I have studied iRest with Richard Miller since 2014. iRest (Integrative Restoration) is an evidence-based transformative practice that leads to psychological, physical, and spiritual healing and well-being. It is based on the ancient teachings of meditation, and while it is a well-being practice suitable for everyone it has been used extensively with people suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with very good results.
Yoga is integral to my life, both as a daily practice for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and as a philosophy and life approach to apply to whatever life presents.
I have had a 30-year career in administration, management and leadership roles in public, private and community settings. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Analysis, a Master of Policy and Applied Social Research and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management.
With a passion for learning, I continue to study yoga and philosophy with various teachers locally and internationally.
