Michelle has practised yoga and meditation for many years. She has studied various traditions: with James and Michelle Sierra, Rachel Nokes, Nicola Ellis and has completed her 500 hour Diploma in Yoga Teacher Training with the Yoga Institute (founded by Michael de Manincor in the Krishnamacharya tradition). Michelle is trained in trauma sensitive yoga having completed ‘Yoga for Trauma, Mental Health and Body Image’ with Sarah Ball.
She believes that yoga is for everyone and that this ancient tradition can be applied in our modern world to bring integration and wholeness. She likes to summarise her understanding of yoga with these words – steady, calm, kind – body, breath, mind.
Michelle’s key areas of interest are yoga for mental health, yoga for over 50s and developing personalised practices. She teaches yoga to cancer patients and enjoys teaching chair yoga.
